Guro Rick Brock

Kombatan Chief Instructor of Washington

Personal Statement

"I was looking for a weapons based art. After one lesson with Grandmaster Bowers I knew I had found what I was looking for. After being in the art I found that Kombatan was not just a weapons based art but a total art from stick to the blade and empty hands techniques. The flow drills remind me of the continuous non-stop movement (flow) of wrestling.

Kombatan and the teachings of Grandmaster Bowers helped me build confidence in both my personal life and my martial arts life. Kombatan will always be part of my way of life."
